pattern

center

Cast on 32 stitches and knit in the round for 21 rounds.

Bind-Off Round: Bind off 16 sts, k to end of round, pick up 1 st from first bound-off st, slip 2 st from right needle back to left needle, ssk. | 16 sts

edge

Pick-Up Round: PM, pick up 16 sts evenly (approx. 3 sts per 4 rows) down column of sts below first bound-off st, PM, pick up 16 sts across cast-on edge (joining bottom of ravioli together), PM, pick up 16 sts evenly up column of sts below first live st, PM for end of round. | 64 sts

Increase Round: [K1, yo, k1 to 1 st before marker, rev yo, k1, SM] 4 times. | 8 sts inc

Work 1 round even, twisting the yo’s.

Repeat last two rounds one more time.

Next Round: *Yo, k2tog, rep from * to end of round.

Work 1 round even (do NOT twist the yo’s).

Decrease Round: [Ssk, k to 2 sts before marker, k2tog, SM] 4 times. | 8 sts dec

Work 1 round even and then repeat Decrease Round one more time.

seaming

Cut yarn leaving a very long tail and thread onto a tapestry needle. Seam live stitches to the back of the ravioli as such:

  1. Bring tapestry needle through first live stitch knitwise and let stitch fall off needle.
  2. Fold hem towards back of work and bring tapestry needle through purl bump in same column of stitches as first stitch, where edge of hem naturally aligns.
  3. Repeat Steps 1 and 2 until no live stitches remain. NOTE: On side edges of ravioli, bring tapestry needle downwards through one leg of stockinette row, spacing evenly.

finishing

Weave in all ends.

Sew on desired number of buttons (they’ll fit right through the stitches!). Attach webbing to swivel hooks and add a slider buckle to make an adjustable strap. Clip swivel hooks to corners of ravioli opening.
