twisty mittens
i originally wanted to make mittens with columns of tiny cables. after knitting a few rounds i realized that was Not Fun, so i switched to twists. the construction of the mittens are based on circular yoke sweaters--there is no gusset, but rather the increases for the thumb are spread out within the purl ribs around the circumference creating a gradual spreading effect.
edelwood hat
edelwood hat takes its name from the fictional edelwood tree, an important figure in the cartoon network miniseries, over the garden wall. the irregular pattern of the ribbing is meant to resemble the exceptionally twisty bark of this tree. this hat is lightweight and perfect for autumn!
