notes

materials

  • Approximately 215 yards of a worsted weight yarn. I used Cascade 220 and recommend using a “sticky” yarn that responds well to blocking (this will ensure the wavy edge stays wavy!)
  • Size US 8 (5mm) needles (or size needed to obtain gauge)

gauge

16 stitches & 18.5 rows = 4 inches in double knitting

size

Length: Approximately 52 inches (variable)
Width: Approximately 3 inches

techniques

German Short Rows

Create double stitch (on right side): Turn work to wrong side, slip first stitch on left needle to right needle, pull yarn upwards over right needle to form double stitch, bring yarn between needles to front of work before working next stitch.
