abbreviations & techniques

LC – left cross
slip 2 stitches onto cable holder and hold in front of work. purl next stitch. knit 2 stitches on cable holder

RC – right cross
slip 1 stitch onto cable holder and hold behind work. knit next 2 stitches. purl 1 stitch on cable holder

C2F – cable 2 front
slip 2 stitches onto cable holder and hold in front of work. knit next 2 stitches. knit 2 stitches on cable holder

C2B – cable 2 back
slip 2 stitches onto cable holder and hold in back of work. knit next 2 stitches. knit 2 stitches on cable holder

Follow the twisty mittens pattern as written (except without working the twists on the Twist Rounds) up to the palm section.

palm (right mitten)

Work 21 rounds in pattern.

Round 22: [[p4, LC, p2, RC] twice, p4, k2] twice
Round 23 (and all odd rounds): work in pattern to end of round
Round 24: [p5, LC, RC, p6, LC, RC, p5, k2] twice
Round 26: [p6, C2B, p8, C2F, p6, k2] twice
Round 28: [p5, RC, LC, p6, RC, LC, p5, k2] twice
Round 30: [[p4, RC, p2, LC] twice, p4, k2] twice

Work in pattern until you have 42 rounds.
Continue to decrease section (right mitten) of twisty mittens.

palm (left mitten)

Work as for right mitten, except for Round 22:

Round 22: rm, p4, k2, pm, [[p4, LC, p2, RC] twice, p4, k2] twice
NOTE: This round changes the position of the end of round.
